POTSDAM -- Volunteers pitched in to help animals in need at the Chad Fuller Memorial Car Wash hosted by Potsdam's Ponderosa Steak House recently.
Many of those on hand were military personnel and friends Chad Fuller, a Potsdam native killed in the war in Afghanistan in August 2003.
A huge animal lover, Chad volunteered (and adopted three critters) at the Potsdam Animal Shelter while still in high school in Potsdam.
Pictured to the far right is Amber Lindsey, a board member of the Potsdam Humane Society and a Ponderosa employee. She organized the event, which brought in $850 to the needy animals.
Credit also goes to Jeff Prosper, Ponderosa owner, who provided the water, hoses and his parking lot for this event.
