OGDENSBURG -- St. John’s Consrvatory Theater are casting more than 20 local actors for their upcoming production of “Alice Isn’t All There,” a musical comedy based on Lewis Carroll’s “Alice in Wonderland.”

The 20-plus member cast hails from all over the North Country and includes Angelina Schembry as Jacky Rabbit, Shelly Murdock as the Cheshire Cat, Richard O’Donnell as the Mad Hatter, Christopher Rodriguez as the Dormouse, Christopher Dwyer as Tweedledee, Ryan Woodard as Tweedledum, Connor Banning as the Caterpillar, Angela Conzone Dwyer as the Queen of Hearts, and Grace Brunet as the Knave of Hearts. The Bells & Wheezle Circus clowns include O’Donnell as Belvedere Brumbleton, Christopher Dwyer as Mr. Zizzlebot, Angela Conzone Dwyer as Mrs. Zizzlebot, Myah Myers as Boo Hoo, Brandon Bogart as Itsy Bitsy, Jillian LeBel as Marbles, Grant Brunet as Zigzag, Dana McCormick as Ping Pong, Macy Murdock as Razzmataz, Madison Miller as Hob Nob, Jennifer Ann as Flip Flop, and Meghan Gardner as Topsy Turvey.

Everyone is from Ogdensburg, except Grace and Grant Brunet from Morristown, Angelina Schembry from Lisbon, and Karen Fischbeck from Heuvelton.

JCT principal creative staff includes producer and director O’Donnell, Choreographer Angela Conzone Dwyer, Scenic and Prop Designer Stephen Chambers, Costume and Makeup Designer Karen Fischbeck, Technical Director and Production Coordinator Christopher Dwyer. OFA students include sound technicians Alex Pinkerton, Andrew Smith, and assistant director Samantha Mooney.

Other vital JCT personnel includes Rector Michael O’Donnell, assistant technical director Ryan Woodard, assistant costumer Ann Losurdo, assistant set dresser Pat Kelly, house manager Sheila LaMere and general manager Bill LaMere.

“I think it’s important to note that we’re not children’s theater,” says O’Donnell, a veteran of professional stages that include Broadway to summer stock throughout New York, Pennsylvania, Washington, and Chicago. “We have children and teenagers in the cast that act alongside professional adult actors. Our musicals may be “family friendly” but we’re not just for kids. We’re also the only regional theater in the United States presenting all original productions. These are full scale musicals never before presented anywhere but in in Ogdensburg.”

Shows will run June 3, 4, 17 and 18 at 7 p.m. and matinees June 5 and 19 at 2 p.m.

Tickets are on sale at brownpapertickets.com for $10 (under “ALICE ISN’T ALL THERE” or “ST. JOHN’S CONSERVATORY THEATER”) or at the door the night of the performances for $15.
