POTSDAM -- State police have charged a man with aggravated driving while intoxicated Sunday morning following a one-car crash on River Road.
Thomas A. Power, 22, Auburn, was charged with aggravated DWI and speed exceeding conditions at 7:15 a.m. at 168 River Rd., troopers said.
Troopers said Powers was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Malibu south on River Road when he failed to negotiate a curve and struck a utility pole on the west shoulder of the roadway.
Powers was not injured.
His blood-alcohol content was reportedly .19 percent.
He was released on an appearance ticket returnable to Potsdam court April 23 at 9:30 a.m., officers said.
