MASSENA -- Two airlines are scheduled to give public presentations to the Massena Town Council in a special meeting today at 4 p.m. in the Terminal Building at Massena International Airport.
The two airlines, Massachusetts-based Cape Air and California-based Boutique Air, will explain their recent applications to the Federal Aviation Administration to provide Essential Air Service to connect Massena with a regional aviation hub. Cape Air currently provides the service through a two-year contract that is ending soon.
The Town Council invites the public, especially those who use the air service out of Massena, to hear details of the presentations and view the planes each airline uses to provide the service.
Details of the two proposals include destination airports, connectivity and fares.
Due to the special meeting at the airport, the regular Town Council meeting is pushed back from 5:30 to 6 p.m. The monthly meetings are in Room 30 on the second floor of the Massena Town Hall.
