MASSENA -- The Unitarian Universalist Church of Canton recently made a donation to the Boys & Girls Club of Massena.
Massena Police Chief Timmy Currier, president of the club’s Board of Directors, visited the church to accept the $850 contribution.
“We are so appreciative of this generous gift,” said Currier. “It is great that we have such a broad base of support as we get this important program off the ground. Getting backing from Canton is great, and the UU Church is leading the way in giving from churches.” He said he hopes other North Country religious organizations will follow the UU’s lead.
