CANTON -- St. Lawrence University is once again on Princeton Review’s list of 353 environmentally responsible United States colleges.
The 2015 guide profiles colleges with the most exceptional commitments to sustainability based on their academic offerings and career preparation for students, campus policies, initiatives and activities, according to the Princeton Review web site. The university was also on the 2014 list.
Louise Gava, coordinator and assistant director of the Sustainability Semester, said St. Lawrence continues to improve the sustainability of its operations, expand current co-curricular sustainability opportunities and assess the sustainability literacy of our graduates, all so as to attract and retain the students who are interested in our sustainability educational programs, according to SLU.
“St. Lawrence has developed a culture of sustainability across all sectors of our campus,” Gava said. “We have laid the foundation from which we can build and create real and lasting change.”
