CANTON – As if driving through downtown Canton isn’t already hard enough, traffic will probably be disrupted even more next week when a major paving project takes place.
The state Department of Transportation plans to pave Main Street between Riverside Drive next to the Grasse River and Stiles Avenue near the Sunoco station east of downtown during the week of Aug. 15.
Work will begin mornings at 6 a.m. and continue throughout the day.
Traffic will be controlled by flaggers.
Motorists should expect delays and plan accordingly, DOT said.
