CANTON -- The Canton youth wrestlers Gaven Thornton and Zackery Goolden recently participated in the NYWAY state championships in Elmira.
Over 925 wrestlers from across the state participated in the championship.
Goolden, age 10, wrestled in the D3 division for 9 to 10 year olds in the 110 lb bracket and placed first.
Thornton, age 11, wrestled in the D4 division for 11 to 12 year olds in the 130 lb bracket and placed fourth.
