CANTON -- Anneke and John Larrance of Canton recently taught current and in-training Cornell Cooperative Extension master gardener volunteers how to make holiday wreaths.
Instead of their regular December meeting, volunteers created wreaths using a variety of greens such as white and red cedar, Scots and white pine as well as spruce.
Anneke and John have many years of experience making wreaths as a fundraiser for the Canton Methodist Church. Having started out making wreaths by hand on frames made from coat hangers, they graduated to professional wreath-making jigs which make the process much faster and produce more uniform results.
