CANTON – A Canton woman has been charged with drunk driving after St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies followed her vehicle’s tire tracks to Liberty Apartments.
Amanda M. Janack, 23, of 80 Riverside Dr., Apt. 3-1, was charged with driving while intoxicated early Saturday morning as deputies were investigating a single vehicle accident on County Route 35 in Potsdam.
Deputies had originally received a report of a vehicle with extensive damage driving on the Morley-Potsdam Road with a flat tire.
They followed the tracks to Liberty Apartments where they learned Janack had been involved in the accident.
Deputies said she had a blood alcohol content of .19 percent, more than twice the .08 percent threshold for DWI. Charges are pending for the accident, deputies said.
