MADRID — A Canton woman was charged Aug. 3 with driving while ability impaired by drugs following a property-damage accident on CR 14, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.

Tammy J. Stevenson, 41, was charged following a report of a vehicle that had struck a speed zone sign and damaged a lawn at a home on the road, officers said.

During an interview with Stevenson, deputies determined that she was operating the vehicle under the influence of narcotics.

No injuries were reported.
