CANTON -- The village board has approved sending surplus Department of Public Works equipment to a municipal equipment auction slated for Oct. 22.
The equipment to be sent includes an old chipper truck which has set dormant for 2 years, an old recreation trailer which will cost more to make roadworthy than to purchase a new one, and and old Dodge pickup at the golf course.
