CANTON -- The village board approved several hires and a resignation at its meeting Monday, June 19.
The trustees accepted the resignation of Canton police officer Cory Williams.
Village Mayor Michael Dalton said two candidates have been interviewed for the position and the board approved the conditional appointment of one of those, pending that candidate’s successful passing of the standard background and psychological tests.
The board approved the hiring of Beau Boyden for a position at the recreation department.
Trustees and the mayor voted to approve Jason Robert as a permanent employee at the Department of Public Works.
Three new fire department members were approved – Dominic Griffin, Phillip Marble and Alana Belkevich.
In addition, several employees for the recreation departments summer program were also approved.
