CANTON -- Bids for the town’s road salt supply for the coming plowing season have been received by the highway department, according to the department report reviewed by the council at their Wednesday meeting.
The low bid received was $50.04 per ton from Compass Minerals, compared to last year’s low bid of $54.98 per ton.
The report indicated that the contract will probably be awarded to Compass.
