CANTON -- The town board has approved fire protection contracts with the fire departments in the fire districts which lie within its borders.
At the town’s annual reorganizational meeting Wednesday, Jan. 3, contracts with the fire departments in Morley for $36,720, Rensselaer Falls for $32,385, Pyrites for $32,130 and Canton for $117,300, were reviewed, unanimously approved by the council members.
The town also approved a $1 contract for emergency services from the Canton department.
The amounts have been accounted for in the town’s 2018 budget.
