CANTON -- Two teenagers faces menacing charges following an incident involving knives, according to state police.
Troopers responded to a residence on Northwoods Road on Aug. 8 at 9:02 p.m. in the town of Canton for a report of a menacing with a knife.
An investigation revealed that a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old juvenile menaced two subjects with pocket knives at that address.
The 16-year-old was charged with two counts of second-degree menacing and one count fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon..
The 17-year-old was charged with one count of second-degree menacing and one count of fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
The juveniles were arraigned by the Town of Pierrepont Court where they were released on their own recognizance, to reappear in the Town of Canton Court at a later date. An order of protection has been issued.
