CANTON -- Banford Elementary students in Lyndsay McCabe’s class, and their 8th grade buddies in Megan Smith's class from McKenney Middle School, learned about tapping maple trees recently.
This week, they had a visit from Andrew Carpino from Cornell Cooperative Extension to learn how to identify and tap maple trees.
They hiked through the snow and worked together to tap three trees on the school's nature trail.
