CANTON — A Canton man who is a level three sex offender was jailed on a felony for failing to notify law enforcement that he had created a Facebook account, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.
Eric J. Walrath, 36, was charged with failure to notify, register internet account following a complaint filed with the sheriff’s department stating that Walrath had created an account on Facebook.
Deputies checked the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services and it showed no Facebook account registered to Walrath.
He was arraigned in Canton court in front of Judge Monroe and ordered held in St. Lawrence County Jail without bail.
