Second grade students try fresh lettuce with sweet berry dressing in the cafeteria Friday, May 3. One second grade class grew lettuce and made dressing to encourage fellow students to sample a healthy option and learn about the school garden project.
CANTON -- Canton Central School is seeking donations for the garden project.
Classes at Canton, as well as the community as a whole, raise gardens in raised beds near the athletic fields and the playground. Project workers also hold garden work days and maintain a lending library of garden resources.
Supporters can “adopt” the garden for a summer week or donate gardening supplies.
