CANTON -- Canton resident Frederick Rycroft has published a book set locally.
“Young World, The Beginning,” Rycroft’s first book, was released this month.
The story starts out in 1957 Canton, when three thirteen year-old boys meet for the first time. The boys develop a friendship and bond that will last them a lifetime.
The book is a work of fiction and follows the three youngsters as they learn about life and engage in many adventures.
The book describes many of the now defunct or gone landmarks of the village, its citizens, and the uniqueness of a small northern New York town.
Rycroft is hoping to hold a book signing at St. Lawrence University’s Brewer Bookstore in the near future.
