CANTON – Canton residents recently enjoyed a block party on Farmer Street.
Heidi Todd said four years ago the neighbors started an annual event.
“We ask the town to close off a section of the street, which we are very appreciative of, and we hand out over 100 flyers to the homes surrounding us, including State St., Cleveland, Goodrich, Judson, Mildon, and Howe,” she said.
“It's been a wonderful event that many people have told us they look forward to now.”
Todd said the kids drew chalk art, played street hockey and basketball. They also had a bike parade and launched water balloons.
“It was a lot of good old fashioned fun in the village of Canton,” she said.
