POTSDAM -- Canton-Potsdam Hospital’s Center for Cancer Care recently received a donation of 32 hand-made heat bags from community member Vanessa Stanka, with help from mom, Linda Stanka, and dad, Brian Stanka.
“I wanted to help patients who are receiving treatment feel better and I just enjoy doing things to help others,” Vanessa Stanka said in an email.
Patients receiving chemo treatments can often experience fluctuations in body temperature. The heat bags will be offered to patients to keep their hands or feet comfortably warm.
