POTSDAM -- Canton-Potsdam Hospital will host Bill Parmer as its “Artist in Residence” this fall. In total, 18 works will be featured in the main hallways on the first and second floors.
Bill Parmer is a St. Lawrence County resident and can frequently be seen painting in bucolic settings throughout the region, from where he draws his inspirations.
“The seasonal changes inspire me to search out different ‘en plein air’ environs, spanning the county and even in Vermont,” Parmer said.
He names Eric Tobin, nationally known Vermont plein air painter, as his mentor. Parmer works largely in oil and watercolor mediums. His professional associations include TAUNY, and the Bryan Memorial Gallery in Jeffersonville, Vermont.
His works are for sale and on exhibit until Dec. For more info contact Deborah Lauther at 261-5413 or dchaselauther@cphospital.org.
