POTSDAM -- Canton-Potsdam Hospital recently recognized its “Spiritual Care Team” with activities with a luncheon recognizing Reverend Edwin Sachs for 20 years of team leadership.
David B. Acker, FACHE, President and CEO, presented Reverend Sachs with an engraved pen set, and said “I want to take this time to thank Ed for ‘Leading by Example’, by demonstrating the values we stand for in our everyday work. He has become a true leader in our organization…taking it upon himself to lead the way with great tact and dependability as well as motivating others to perform at their best…Thanks for pointing us in the right direction, Ed.”
The Spiritual Care Team is comprised of 37 individuals, comprised of 13 chaplains and 24 spiritual care visitors. They serve at the requests of patients and visitors in the hospital, and are under the auspices of the Volunteer Program.
