POTSDAM –Rajiv Shah, MD, gastroenterologist with St. Lawrence Health System’s Canton-Potsdam Hospital (CPH), will move his practice from the NATCO building on Outer Main Street to CPH’s gastroenterology practice at 15 Raymond St. Friday, June 2.
The doctor will see his first patients in his new location Monday, June 5.
Dr. Shah offers screening, management, and treatment of gastrointestinal tract diseases.
He has concentrated training in diseases affecting the colon, esophagus, gallbladder, stomach, rectum, and pancreas.
According to hospital officials, through extensive training and 28 years of practical experience, Dr. Shah has a thorough understanding of the normal physiology of the gastrointestinal organs and sees patients with polyps, ulcers, reflux, diverticular disease, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), Crohn’s disease, colitis, and cancers of the stomach, esophagus, and bowel.
Shah received his medical degree from Baroda Medical College, completed residencies with Charleston Area Medical Center and Catholic Medical Center of Brooklyn and Queens, and completed his two-year fellowship in gastroenterology with the Catholic Medical Center.
Dr. Shah has additional training in both endoscopic ultrasound and endoscopic mucosal resection. The doctor joined CPH in January 2016.
