CANTON -- Canton-Potsdam Hospital Foundation directors recently elected new officers and approved three new members.
The newly-elected officers are Board Chair Stephen Putman of Canton, Vice-Chair William Kirchgasser of Potsdam, Treasurer Richard VanLeuven of Potsdam, and Secretary Stacey Howlett of Norwood. Each will serve a two-year term.
The three new Board members are: Renee Holsen of Colton – Associate Director of Publications at Clarkson University; Julie Kuenzler of Norwood – Human Resources Director for the St. Lawrence Seaway; and Joyce Yianoukos of Colton – retired teacher and school administrator.
Other Foundation Board members include Ginger Akin, Joseph Fitzsimons, Scott Goldie, Angela Gray, Owen Halloran, David Kirwan, William Putnam, Penelope Rattan, Lowell Warner, and Brooks Washburn.
The Hospital Foundation Board is drawn from across the communities served by Canton-Potsdam Hospital, and includes donors, community leaders, and individuals interested in helping the Hospital achieve its mission.
The Hospital Foundation was established in 1985 to support Canton-Potsdam Hospital’s mission by raising, investing, and managing funds for the Hospital’s benefit. Today, the Hospital Foundation conducts an annual campaign, accepts memorial and honor gifts, encourages bequests and planned gifts, coordinates grant applications to government agencies and corporate funders, and works with donors capable of making a substantial impact on the Hospital. Last year more than $670,000 was contributed to the Foundation for equipment, facilities, and patient services.
