Blair Madore of Potsdam recently led an Adirondack Mountain Club Laurentian Chapter hike to Hurricane Mountain in the High Peaks near Keene.
Participant Lucas Hanss had been on an ADK high school volunteer trails crew during the summer and could point out the work that was done. The trail was in excellent condition up to the end of that crew's efforts, and then quite poor from there to the summit.
ADK and others plan to continue the trail maintenance.
