CANTON -- The Canton Police Department are seeking information about the damage done to two Department of Public Works trucks, a fire in another vehicle, and damage to the door at the Canton Pavilion.

Police Chief Lori McDougal said that sometime on Sunday or Monday, May 11 or 12, an unknown person or persons vandalized two trucks in the parking lot at the DPW building on Lincoln Street by throwing items through their windshields.

Another vehicle nearby on Dies Street was set on fire.

The front door to the Canton Pavilion, on lower Lincoln Street, was also smashed.

There were also reports of someone rummaging through unlocked vehicles in the area, McDougal said.

Anyone who has any information or saw or heard anything suspicious during that time is asked to contact the Canton Police Department at 386-4561.

"Please remember to keep your vehicles locked at all times and to secure your valuables in a safe place," McDougal said.
