The victorious Canton Peewee Bears
POTSDAM -- The Canton Pee Wee Bears hockey team won the NYSAHA Pee Wee Tier II Northern Zone Sectional Championship this past weekend in Potsdam.
The tournament featured eight teams from across New York’s Northern Region. In round robin games, the Canton Bears defeated Potsdam 6-0; Jefferson Jaguars 2-1; and St. Lawrence Thunder 2-1.
They defeated Schenectady Charges 8-0 in a crossover game, and defeated the Bethlehem Eagles 4-0 in the championship game.
The team is coached by Rob Boak, Jeff James, and Gerald Bessette. Team roster includes Nate Boak, Paige Glasgow, Robert Reed, Trey Bessette, Isaac Testani, Manny Sanchez, Ryan Aldous, John Mahoney, Stephen Morley, Anthony Frank, Nick James, Bobby Wells, Justin Brabant, Kelson Hooper, and Antonio Vecchio.
