CANTON -- Peter J. Dargie, MD, board-certified OB/GYN, will move his practice to the E. J. Noble Professional Building, 80 E. Main Street, Canton, NY.

The move is expected to be complete in early spring, 2014. Patients of Dr. Dargie will be seen in renovated space formerly occupied by the Canton-Potsdam Hospital Afterhours clinic, which is now located at the rear of the west wing of the same building.

Dr. Dargie was previously affiliated with CPH from 1995 to 2006 and will become a member of the CPH medical staff effective March 3, 2014.

Dr. Dargie’s office practice encompasses comprehensive women’s healthcare, including health screening examinations, diagnosis and treatment for gynecologic disorders and infections, and assistance in adjusting to menopause.

Tara Swinwood, FNP, will remain with Dr. Dargie and continue to specialize in women’s health.

Dr. Dargie will deliver newborns and perform gynecologic surgeries at the hospital.

He will be supported by staff of the CPH Birthplace, an eight-bed self-contained maternity unit that manages approximately 400 births annually.
