CANTON -- A team has been busy at Canton United Methodist Church filling student's bags with school supplies.
The School Supply Project is co-sponsored by the Church and Community Program and the Canton Neighborhood Center.
In addition to supplies, students will be able to receive a new backpack, socks, and for the first time for the back-to-school program, a free haircut.
Distribution day will be Aug. 31 at the Canton United Church from 1 to 4 p.m.
Monetary and supply donations continue to be accepted at the above program sites.
