CANTON — A Canton man placed in the Adirondack Artists Guild 20th annual juried art competition.
Ron Larsen won third prize, given by Frances Preston Financial Consultant, for his photograph, “Druid Wood.”
A crowd gathered at the Adirondack Artists Guild gallery Friday evening in Saranac Lake to celebrate the opening of the guild’s twentieth annual juried art competition. The juror, Zack Lobdell, selected 60 works by 42 artists to be in the show.
The award for Best in Show, donated by the Artists Guild, went to Phil Gallos of Saranac Lake for his black and white photograph, “November Light.”
Visitors to the gallery may cast their ballots for the People’s Choice Award, donated annually by a friend of the arts, throughout the show, which closes on April 22.
The gallery is located at 52 Main St, Saranac Lake, and their phone number is 518 891-2615.
Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sundays.
