CANTON — A Canton man was charged July 20 with promoting prison contraband after allegedly being found in possession of suboxone at the St. Lawrence County Jail, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.
Eric S. Lalonde, 32, was charged with first-degree promoting prison contraband and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, deputies said.
Lalonde was found to be in possession of the drug on July 3, deputies said.
He was arraigned in Canton court and ordered held on $1,000 bail or $2,000 bond.
