CANTON – A Canton man was charged with drunk driving and grand larceny Sunday after getting into a personal injury accident with his girlfriend’s car on Miner Street, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.
Shane H. Parsons, 25, of 24 Dies St., was cited for aggravated driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene of a personal injury accident, speed not reasonable and prudent, harassment and third degree grand larceny.
Deputies initially responded to a reported domestic dispute at 24 Dies St. involving an argument between Dies and his girlfriend about his having had an accident with her vehicle.
A passenger in the vehicle was taken to Canton-Potsdam Hospital for non-life threatening injuries, deputies said.
Deputies said Parsons’ blood alcohol content level was .21 percent, nearly three times the .08 percent threshold for DWI.
