CANTON – A Canton man is accused of burglaries in Russell and Gouverneur and a weapons violation in Canton.
Timothy M. Pitts, 27, 7 Pink Schoolhouse Rd., was arrested Wednesday and charged by St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s investigators with two felony counts of second degree burglary, two counts of petit larceny, and one count of criminal possession of a weapon.
In Canton, deputies stopped Pitts, who has a prior felony conviction, and allegedly found a rifle in his possession.
Pitts was arraigned in Town of Canton Court and held on bail of $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond.
More charges are pending, the Sheriff’s Office said.
