CANTON – A Canton man was charged Tuesday with aggravated driving while intoxicated after St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies received a report from the Village of Canton DPW of a vehicle stuck in a snow bank on Miner Street.
Shawn G. Sheridan, 25, was charged with aggravated DWI, failure to reduce speed-special hazards, and unlawful possession of marijuana, deputies said.
Sheridan’s blood alcohol content was allegedly .22 percent, officers said.
Upon investigation he was also found to be in possession of a baggie containing a small amount of marijuana, deputies said.
He was released on appearance tickets to answer the charges at a later date in Canton Town Court, officers said.
