CANTON -- Canton Village Police arrested Jeffrey L. VanBrocklin of Canton (no age given) on Aug. 21 on multiple charges, including criminal contempt and stalking, connected to a several incidents regarding his ex-girlfriend and her residence.
Police said that VanBrocklin was charged for second-degree criminal contempt and fourth-degree stalking for sending text messages to an ex-girlfriend on Aug. 10.
He was also charged with three counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief and fourth-degree stalking for slashing two car tires and cutting a cable at the ex-girlfriends’ residence on Aug.12.
VanBrocklin was also arrested on Aug. 21 for second-degree criminal mischief, a class D felony, for spray painting the ex-girlfriend’s vehicle and house on Aug. 14.
VanBrocklin was arraigned in Canton Town Court by Judge Morgan and sent to County jail in lieu of $1000 cash bail.
Police had arrested VanBrocklin previously on Aug. 16 for two counts of second-degree criminal contempt for violating an order of protection after being on the ex-girlfriend’s property.
At that time he was arraigned by Judge Morgan and sent to county jail in lieu of $500 cash bail, said police.
