State police arrested Ryan J. Grimshaw, 33, June 19 on one count of third-degree manufacturing methamphetamine, felony.
Troopers say they had received a report of a suspicious vehicle on Chisholm Road in the Town of Rossie. They went to the area and found a 1996 Saturn parked off the roadway in the grass.
Grimshaw was seen standing outside the vehicle, and appeared to be moving items around on the floorboard of the vehicle, police said.
They said when they approached and interviewed Grimshaw, methamphetamine-making materials were observed, and Grimshaw was in the process of manufacturing the drug.
Grimshaw was arraigned in Town of Fowler Court before Judge Lamson, and remanded to the St. Lawrence County Jail without bail.
The St. Lawrence County Drug Task Force, the St. Lawrence County Sheriff's Department, and the New York State Police, Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team (CCSERT) assisted in the investigation, and the Gouverneur Fire Department provided assistance at the scene.
