CANTON – Thomas R. Cardinell, 57, Miner Street Road, Canton, is accused of grabbing his ex-girlfriend by the neck while threatening to kill her last Saturday at a Jingleville Road residence.
St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s deputies have charged him with a felony, second-degree strangulation, and a misdemeanor, third-degree menacing
Cardinell was arraigned on the charges in Pierrepont Town Court and was ordered held without bail after consultation with the District Attorney’s Office.
The court issued a no-contact order of protection for the woman.
