CANTON -- A Williams High School graduate has a video hunting show debuting April 1 on The Pursuit Chanel with a turkey hunt filmed in Canton.
“I grew up in Canton, graduated from Canton High School and now in live in Rochester,” Clede Spooner writes, to tell us of his show.
The show, called The Crossroads TV, began as a DVD series for Venatic Outdoors. “The Crossroads TV was formed to take the next step to national television,” he said.
The show airs April 1 on The Pursuit Channel (Dish Network 393, DirecTV 604) at 6 p.m.
Season one features Spooner and other hunters from across the state, as well as his hunting and filming friend Sean Flanagan. All of the shows were shot in the Northeast, including four episodes in the first season recorded in the Canton and Lisbon area.
“Focusing on the Northeast allows the TV show to differentiate from the rest of the hunting TV shows on the air today by focusing on an area that is untapped in the outdoor television industry,” Spooner writes. “Thirteen original episodes will feature hunting across New York, Pennsylvania, Quebec, Ontario, Maine and Newfoundland will be the focus of the show where you will see deer, turkey, bear, moose and caribou hunting.”
Spooner’s sponsors so far include New Breed Archery, OnlineGunSales.NET, Lakeland Equipment, Drape's Archery, and businesses in the Rochester area.
The shows are scheduled to air through June, Tuesdays at 6 p.m., Wednesdays at 9 a.m., and Saturdays at 6 a.m.
