LAKE PLACID -- Mark Bickelhaupt of Canton aced the fourth hole at the Lake Placid Golf Club course Wednesday, the fifth hole-in-one of his golfing life.
Evre Veress of the Potsdam Town and Country Club, part of Bickelhaupt’s foursome, watched as Bickelhaupt launched his ball with a 4-hybrid from the tee 175 yards to the green and into the cup.
Also in that foursome were Frank Mittiga and Gil Bishop.
Bickelhaupt, originally from Hammond, has had four other aces, according to Veress, three at Partridge Run in Canton and one at Deerfield, near Heuvelton.
And that’s why Bickelhaupt has five fingers pointed skyward in the photo at Lake Placid.
