CANTON -- The Canton Free Library has a new Early Learning Space to offer to children and families.
Funded by a grant from the North Country Library System, the CFL created a cozy spot in the children’s room with new puzzles, learning toys, a big magnetic whiteboard and drawers filled with magnetic manipulatives such as brightly colored shapes, Turn & Learn Gears, words, and letters.
“Play in the library is essential to encourage children’s development and early literacy skills, and these are fostered further by family involvement,” said CFL Youth Services Specialist Valerie White.
She is inviting everyone to explore the new space.
