CANTON -- There will be a public hearing on the Canton Central School District’s 2015-16 budget in the Hugh C. Williams High School Learning Resource Center on May 7 at 7 p.m.
The budget is not finalized, information on the spending plan will be mailed to residents no later than May 13.
The budget vote will be held Tuesday, May 19.
Copies of the budget and the tax exemption impact report will be available in the district office, 99 State St., starting April 30, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Voters will look to fill three vacancies on the board of education this year. All three vacancies are for three-year terms.
Petitions will be available starting April 6 and are due by 5 p.m. April 20.
They can be obtained from board of education clerk Cynthia Whitford at the district office.
Ballot positions will be determined by lottery on April 21 at 1 p.m.
Absentee ballots must be received no later than 5 p.m. May 19 by the district clerk.
