CANTON -- Canton Central School was forced to close today due to a leak in a hot water main resulting in a lack of heat for the buildings.
Superintendent Bill Gregory said the leak has been repaired and that he expects the temperature in the buildings to return to normal later today.
After-school and evening events tonight are back on, including sports contests, and schools should re-open tomorrow.
When Canton Central closes, so do St. Mary's Catholic School and Little River School, because Canton Central's buses also transport students from those schools.
