CANTON -- A Canton man expanded his carpentry business recently, turning toward artistic industry and creative works.
Bob Fountaine, owner of Robert Fountaine LLC, has worked locally for the last 17 years, doing carpentry remodeling.
Fountaine purchased a new CNC machine, capable of cutting designs using a plasma cutter on metal or a router on wood.
When he saw an ad for the plasma machine in a magazine his interest was piqued right away. “Never showing much interest in art, I have always felt creative,” he said.
Fountaine says he will still handle small construction and remodeling jobs, but he is excited to create one of a kind pieces.
Robert Fountaine, LLC has placed its new products in a local nursery and gift shop, and Fountaine is beginning to establish a network of dealers and customers.
Fountaine hopes to have a website, coast_to_coast_designs.com available soon.
