Canton-based State Police charged Stephen A. Weston age 42, of with 28 counts of cruelty to animals by failing to provide proper sustenance, in violation of section 353 of the New York State Agriculture and Market Law.
Following an investigation state police executed a search warrant where they discovered 18 dead chickens in a coop that contained no food or water, nine dead rabbits locked in cages with no water and limited food, and one emancipated domestic white hen turkey in poor health on the property.
