CANTON -- A Canton band is asking St. Lawrence County residents to help them win a performance at the Grammy Awards, but time is running out.
In an email, Susie Simser, a spokeswoman for the Canton-based band Tyrade, said voters have until 3 p.m. today to help them earn a performance at the award ceremony in Los Angeles, Calif.
She said the band has been bouncing back and forth between first and second place.
To vote, visit the band's website at http://tyrademusic.com/ and click on the banner that says "Click here to vote for this artist in the “GIG OF A LIFETIME!”
Voters will need to click "LIKE" on the Grammy's gig of a lifetime Facebook page.
Then under the bands video you click on the banner that says “VOTE FOR THIS BAND.” Simser says each person can cast 10 votes, by closing out the pop-up box and voting again. She said box will inform voters after 10 entries have been cast.
Voters interested in helping even more can vote again using their Twitter accounts.
Simser said if Tyrade wins their division, there will be a last voting of all band that won their respective divisions.
Tyrade members are Thomas Arquitt, Tim Anson, Matt Farrell, Ronn Simser.
