CANTON -- A Canton man has published his first book about an apocalyptic world that is now available on Amazon.com for Kindle.
Barry Strate has written “Finding Freedom: The Freedom Sage Book 1” which tells the story of a pre-apocalyptic world leading up to the fall of society. It is set all over the country including New York City.
“It took me about 8 months…it was really enjoyable (writing the book) and I had a great time doing it,” Strate said.
Strate said he is a fan of apocalypse-based books and wanted to write his own version.
“This book has a little bit to do with zombies…but it’s not the main part of the story,” he said.
Strate said the book may go to print. His son is looking into personal contacts and Amazon has other options that he might explore down the road. He says the a second book is in the works.
Amazon.com posted the follow description of the book:
