CANTON – The Canton town board has approved a resolution detailing a hold harmless agreement with St. Lawrence County.
The agreement, dealing specifically with the various shared services between the two governments, holds the county harmless in the event of a liability situation.
Town Supervisor Mary Ann Ashley said the town would look for a similar reciprocating agreement from the county.
The town is interested in establishing similar agreements with the villages of Canton and Rensselaer Falls, other municipalities which share services with the town, Ashley said.
