Republican congressional hopeful Elise Stefanik of Willsboro now has a team of county campaign coordinators for her 21st District race.

In St. Lawrence County, they are Nancy Foster and Lynn Vaughn.

“Elise is a bright, charismatic, articulate, knowledgeable millennial who is conversant on the national issues as well as the issues facing the 21st Congressional District,” said Foster in the press release from the campaign. “She has experience in the private business sector and in Washington, DC.

“Elise is also a member of the NRA and a strong supporter of the Second Amendment; she would oppose any federal legislation that would attempt to infringe on our Second Amendment rights.” Foster said.

The roster of coordinators includes business, political and community leaders from every county to help with voter outreach, campaign events, fundraising, and petition signatures, among other duties.

“They understand how high the stakes are in the upcoming election, and that we need to move forward with new leadership in Washington on behalf of the hardworking families, military veterans, small businesses and farmers in our district,” Stefanik said.

Stefanik will face investor Matt Doheny of Watertown in a primary. This will be Doheny’s third attempt at the GOP nomination and Stefanik’s first.
